Draw the patches on the textile using a stencil as shown in the picture. Cut out the patches with scissors.

How it is made

The design process

Turn the clothing piece inside out, then cut the seams away with scissors.

design-02_edited_edited.png

Pin 2 patches with their face to each other.

Repeat this step until 5 patches are pinned to each other.

Sew the 5 patches to each other

Next, iron the row in order to put all the excessive textile (1cm

margin) in the same direction.

Pin 2 rows of 5 patches with their face to

each other.

Repeat this step until 3, 5, 7 rows are pinned

to each other (depending on the size you are

making: S, M or L).

Make sure when pinning them to each other

that the excess textile is always in the opposite

direction, in order to limit the overlay.

Sew the rows to each other

Pin 2 layers of patches with their face to each other.

While pinning, also pin the straps in the middle of the longest side.

Sew 3 of the 4 sides together.

Then turn the piece inside out.

The production process

Tuck the last side in and pin it in order to close the piece.

Sew a border at 0,5cm of the actual border of the piece, start with the side that is pinned, and go around.

Now you can wrap your present!
